Howdy, so when we bought our trailer little over a year ago had lots of saw dust every time we traveled. Even at delivery had dust, and asked delivery guy and he said that it would “work itself out” after we put some miles on it from build.

Fast forward, still under warranty some 8k miles and still have saw dust. Take to dealer and guess what it’s carpenter ants. Jayco denied claim under warranty.

Anyone else encounter this?

Had carpenter ants in a window frame of my house. Exterminator indicated the frame was desirable because the poorly designed plastic over wood frame made by Andersen leaked water and attracted the ants. They like damp wood.

What I would suggest is that you examine your RV for leaks that would let in water and allowed the ants to breed and expand. If you have a leakage you could change the claim and try to get some help.
