Ford Backup Pro with A frame

Has anyone set up Ford's Backup Pro on the A frame of their Jayco Jayflight SLX? The only instructions I've seen is for a single frame boat trailer.

I have it set up on my Feather. What questions do you have?

With the short area between the hitch and the propane tanks, plus the far forward position of the jack, it appears the instructions (for a boat trailer) indicate there isn't enough room.

Is there any issues I should be aware of? I've driven semis and backup isn't a real issue. I just see the system as making things a bit easier for me by allowing my wife to back into wider areas. I can easily handle the tighter camper pads.

I had trouble getting the system to recognize the sticker when I first tried to set it up. Due to the propane tank, the tongue jack, and my hitch brackets, I ended up with my setup sticker on the driver's side A frame rail near the propane tank within the allowable distance that Ford recommends. The truck will register the sticker and will control the trailer as long as you don't allow the truck to turn on too sharp of an angle. If it does, the sticker will get shielded by the propane tank and the camera loses sight of the it. When it does, the system will shut down and you end up having to go back to backing in manually.

I don't use the system personally. I still back in manually. My wife has used it however and seems to like it.

Thanks. When it finally stops raining down here (southern GA), I'll try setting up similar to how you did it. My wife will appreciate it.

When I get over to the garage, I'll get a pic of the sticker placement for you.

Appreciate the photo. My trailer has twin tanks and will overhang the chart a bit, but I see where I need to place it. I'll let you know how it goes. Might be a few days since the forecast is for rain, rain, and then some rain.

Best of luck to you. I hope it works well.

I had a devil of a time getting it to recognize the sticker location the first time. I had to redo the measurement inputs several times before the computer accepted it i

Went out today and set everything up. I was very pleasantly surprised how well it works. It's going to take a bit of getting use to, but when I went to back into the trailer's parking spot, which has about 10 inches of space on each side, the ability to let the truck back itself in straight made it worthwhile.

Thanks for the advice.
