Has anyone actually installed a washer/dryer in a JayFlight trailer?

I'm curious to know if the washer/dryer you would install actually works well....especially if you are dry camping.

I know it would eat up a lot of water, but in looking at the space for where it would go I'm curious how it would all work.

We have no plans to install one. I'm just wondering.

Thanks!

Cannot imagine anyone who dry camps with a washer/dryer. I am only commenting to compliment you on your signature data and not trading in the DW on a newer model.

Water would be my last concern. Are you planning to use a generator or solar to power them? I would think the washer would kill your battery bank fast! The drier, even faster.

As for water, you would just need to haul water, might be worth one of those big bladders you can install in the bed of the TV, and pump it to the holding tank.

As for the waste water. Might need to make a few trips with the big blue tote. I have been to a number of NP's where they have said to dump my holding tank water down the latrines. If it is just the grey tank water, you could pump it up hill.

I figured on the dry camping and water usages, etc etc. Couldn't see it working.

and thank you very much!

Now, the two Golden's you can have.

Every new 5 minutes is a horse-around clown show with them.

There is always the washer and dryer systems we use in Scouts .... washer consists of a 5 gallon pail and a plunger as the agitator. It actually works really well. The dryer is solar/wind powered ... we tie a clothes line between 2 trees.

gcloss - Yes! I remember it well. Spent 5 years as a Scoutmaster myself, my son's an Eagle and we both did OA. Great memories.

However, I don't think my DW would see the appeal.
