Headed to AZ

Leaving for AZ next month and was wondering should I de-winterize my TT before I leave or wait until I hit warmer weather?

Wait. It is not hard to dewinterize but takes a fair bit of water so we do it at a serviced campground. While you may plan on camping at low altitudes the sh..hits the fan at passes and you may be caught in a traffic jam for enough hours.

Where are you coming from? If Washington state, Chicago or other points that will likely route you thru freezing areas I’d seriously consider it. If you are coming from Houston I’d say maybe.
Another possibility would be to blow out the lines and carry a jug of the red stuff for P traps if you encounter bad weather.
But If you are happy not using your on board “facilities” in transit then why not winterize? Doesn’t cost much.

I can think of reasons why you would not want to dewinterize until you arrive in warm country. I cannot think of any reason why you would want to dewinterize with the risk of hitting cold weather in route. Maybe I'm missing something though.

Coming from Washington State I would wait until you get were you’re going, if this were me. Safe travels the passes can be you know what.
