Help need to flip my shackle back

Had the ubolts came loose on me while traveling to a campsite, long story short I managed to allign everything but because it shifted it causes the center bolt on the leaf spring to brake.

I managed to make my way to our site and the next day drove into town and got a new center bolt. When attempting to install it I guess I lifted the trailer to high causing both tires to be off the ground, which caused the shackle to flip down when removing the ubolts, I assume that was that loud bang noise it made.

Now I am having a really hard time to pop it back upright, any suggestions what I can do?

Hook up to the truck and run one wheel up on a couple of boards. It should pop back in place.

Here's a video showing using a jack. I have helped a couple of people in campgrounds do it by running it up on boards. It will scare you when it goes back in place.

I do have 4inch ramps that I am using them on one side to level the trailer, I can try to drive up those. My ubolts are not super tight as I had to adjust the lead spring, I assume I should really tight then down before I do this?

I certainly would want everything tight and torqued to specification before doing anything.
Let us know how things work out.

Follow the advise of 2naEagle. I had the same problem and did what 2naEagle advised to do and the shackle snapped back into place. I used a beech lane leveler on the correct wheel to snap the other shackle on the opposing wheel. The beech lane is the same as the Anderson style leveler where you simply drive up on it. Good Luck

Happens all the time to one of the tandem axle trailers out at the deer lease. It's rough out there. We just run one tire up on a rock and it pops back into line. It is kind of scary when it pops back. I try to make sure I stand plenty clear when we do this.

And yes, I would have everything attached correctly, ready to run before I did this.

If the U-bolts are 9/16 inch diameter, the torque specs should be between 65 to 95 foot lbs. If the U-bolts are 3/8 inch diameter, the torque should be between 30 and 50 foot lbs. Hope this helps a little.
