Hide-a-spare vs retract-a-spare

Hello,

I have a 2019 Jay Feather 27 BH with an enclosed underbelly and my dealer was hesitant on installing a "hide-a-spare" because it will hang a few inches lower than the steps (which are now the lowest part of the trailer because I removed the standard stabilizing jacks and added power ones.)

Has anyone installed either of the above "spare tire carriers" on the same or similar unit? Any issues?

If I keep it as close to the axles as possible, I can't imagine it would be a problem (I'm not off-roading) but I figured it didn't hurt to see what others thought.

Thanks for any input.

I just got the Hide-a-spare and planning on installing it on our 2019 Jay Feather 27RL.
Be interesting to see what others say.
