Hummingbird vs R-Pod

We have been looking (online) at the Hummingbird 17RB and the R-Pod 190. We are looking for something as small as possible that has a dry bathroom. Does anyone have any opinions or experience with either one of them?
Thanks.

No experience with either unit. One thing that Jayco has over R-Pod is the longer initial warranty. Jayco has a two year bumper to bumper warranty, and a 3 year structural warranty. As I understand R-Pod has a standard 1 year warranty.

From my experience it takes about 2 years to get all the bugs worked out. Some dealers are extremely slooooow at getting any work done, so it can sit at the dealership for a long time waiting to get repaired.

If your handy, it is no big deal, but if your not, then it might sit at the dealership a lot the first few years.

looked at both before we bought are 2017 RB, At that time Hummy was wider and had 2 year warranty, plus it had awning that R-pod didn't. You got a lot more standard options like power jack, outside grill that connects to the back bumper, bigger table, and a few little things like outside awning lights, outside shower, Also a little cheaper in price around here.

Hummingbird comes with Goodyear tires vs China bombs.

we have a 2017 Hummingbird RB, bought it new, it has been a great trailer. perfect size for the two of us. The bigger bathroom was more important to us than the bigger kitchen on the RK, because we mostly cook outside when camping. We did a two month, 8,000 mile trip with it in 2017, towing it with a Toyota Tacoma. We looked at other trailers, including the RPOD, and some bigger ones. We had a good understanding of our needs and wants as we tent camped for a long time before buying a trailer. We've had it for 3 or 4 years now and if we had to do it all over again, we'd still get the Hummingbird RB.

We also have a 17RB and really like the full bath over the wet bath. I don't think there is enough room in a wet bath to change your mind. Also agree with all posts above. One plus not mentioned is the dinette is 5" wider than the other trailers we looked at, not a big deal but is nice to have. Ours also has the Baja pck. that increases the clearance 5" which is good for us as we go off road frequently. Hummingbird owners also have a Facebook group that is very helpful. Good luck with your choice, if any more questions check us out on Facebook.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the 17RB. It is our top choice now. The dry bathroom is a big plus for us as well. Now trying to figure out whether to buy new or used. I wasn’t considering used when I first started looking but the big price difference may make it worthwhile (even though I’m a germaphobe )
