Husky sway bar stripping

The bolt on the adjustment lever of my husky sway bar stripped out. The nut on the bar itself looks good. Anyone else have this happen? I tried to find a bolt to match so I could weld up a replacement, but it must be some fine threaded metric that I couldn't find.

I ordered a new one. I just hope it gets here in time for our upcoming trip.

I guess I don't see why you can't just grind off the nut and weld on a standard 3/8 nut and replace the bolt too.

If it's the adjustment "L" handle I'd probably just bend up a new one of those and weld on a new nut to match.

I think that's what I'd do without actually seeing the sway control unit. Might be more to it than I imagine.

Have had two to do same thing. Called Husky and they have sent me two new complete bars. They know there is a problem with their Chinese nuts and bolts.

Dealt with Bob Stevens at bstevens@coastdist.com the Husky rep. All they wanted was a pic.

Thanks again for the tip. Got my new one in today from Bob. Great customer service from Husky. They really stand behind their product and made it right without me hardly lifting a finger.

I've had two EAZlift sway bars on/off bolts strip in two trips.I don't think I over tightened it either. I've been away from rving for a few years and the one I used to have I tightened alot tighter and never had a problem with it, it worked great. I just bought a different brand to try, it has slightly bigger bolt we'll see how it works.
