I am a dummy, need help with fridge

So I was reading about adding a fan to the fridge to help cool it. I got it and went out to install it. It said that it might work by attaching the hot wire of the fan to the fridge light. I tried that but then the fridge turn off. No power at all.
I check the fuses and stuff but can't figure out what blew. I did not hear a pop or anything.
Here are a couple of photos. Is there some other fuses I need to check?
also you will notice that there is not a fuse on the right right side of the fuse box where it is marked "Refrigerator". There never was one there and it has always worked. I put one in there today and still nothing.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
Gregg

I see that breaker “A” includes “refer” as well as “GFCI.” Check for tripped GFCI.

Looking at your panel on the right side the fuse chart shows 5-15 amp fuses below the 20 amp fuse, and the fifth fuse which looks like its missing is listed as the refrigerator

Have you checked on the back to see if 12vdc is present. Any way to follow where that wire harness goes? It should go to the back. There may be another fuse.

You need dc whether 120vac is present or not to power the control board in back.

there is a fuse in the outside behind the refrig panel. remove black cover on left and fuses are on the board.

I found it quite easy to run the fan wire down the drain to outside and hook to the 12 Volt on the block. when you turn the fridge off the fan goes off. I ran a wire thru first and pulled the fan wire thru. only one turn you have to get by.

That was it, I took off the cover this morning and found a 5 amp fuse that burned out. Put in a new one and the fridge came on.
Thanks. It is not an easy fuse to find, it is behind that black cover outside that has 4 screws holding it in. I just thought that box was something else since it is hard to get into.
This saved me a trip to the service center.
Thanks again Country Boy.

I think I know why I blew the fuse. I did not have the fan grounded to the fins of the fridge when I put the hot wire on the light connections. Now that I know how to fix the fuse if I mess up again, I'll give it one more try before I fish the wires down the line.

We also ran the fan wire through the drain with a little liquid soap.Found hot line disconnected wire plug connector, stuck my fan wire into the plug. And just reconnected works fine. Our fan supplier recommended not hooking up to frig light inside! Works great nice mod!

On the block there is a single red wire then below that 2 yellow wires. Is the red single one the one I hook into? I guess I don't use the black wire on the fan. It has a red and black wire.

In our camper we tested the red wire behind the frig first with a simple tester to see if it was hot. Then turned the frig off to see if the same wire had no power!Bingo

That is the place I picked up 12vdc for my outside draft fan. When the fridge is off, the fan is off.

Thanks,
I hooked it up to the light switch, but the fan is only on when the light switch is on, so it does not run when the door is closed. So I guess I'll snake the wires down and into the back of the fridge.

So after 2 blown fuses because I'm an idiot, and one stripped wire that I had to repair, I got my dual fan with light installed with the wire going down the drain tube and hooked into the 12v dc of the fridge. I hope after all this that it will actually cool it down better. lol
