Two ways to look at your problem...it happens to every disc, or only to a select few that work in another system just fine. So if the disc's you're trying work elsewhere:
Get a cleaning disc and run it. That code relates to the laser not 'seeing' the disc. 9 times out of ten it's dirty.
edit: It goes without saying...a blu ray disc won't work at all.
