It's home!

Well, picked up my 18 284BHSW last night. So far so good, I have one question tho, if you are plugged into your house with a regular 110 adapter, with the microwave and fridge work? I was wanting to plug it up and get the fridge cooling down to put food in for a short excursion this weekend, but when I put the switch to auto the gas light comes on. I know I had power at the outlet, as I was just using a battery charger before I plugged the trailer in. Thanks!

Congratulations!

Yes, the 110 should be fine for the fridge. Make sure your gas is off. I never use Auto. I keep it set on electric only. Once every spring I test the gas operation even though we never use it.

On our 17’ JayFeather 23BHM we were able to plug into the garage and run the fridge for just the same purpose of cooling it down before our trip.
Our issue is the 30amp fuse near the batteries that gets blown and prevents the switching over to propane.
That’s all I got for you. Good luck troubleshooting the power issue.

Thank you for the quick reply, my fridge only has auto to the left and gas to the right (rear of the trailer) When it was plugged in at the dealer, it would only light the green light, I assume for electric. They did install a twist lock detachable cord receptacle at my request instead of the pull out cord. I'm wondering if something came loose there....

Have you checked your breakers - are they on? Do your outlets work?

Yes. Plugged in to your house, your fridge and microwave should work as well as your battery charger and your trailer's outlets.

If your breakers are all on, I'd switch them all off and then back on. And when you switch them off, push them a bit extra when they are in the off position. Often (always?) when these breakers 'trip', they need to be reset - not just flipped to the on position.

Didn't even think about that. Will check everything when I get home. Thanks all!

My new Norcold only has one switch. It defaults to electric when plugged in, gas when not plugged in. So there basically is just an on/off switch. Not sure I like that though.

It was the adapter to 15 amp service. I ended up with 124v on both the neutral and hot leads into the camper. Called my dealer with that info and they said to come get another adapter, so I picked one up on my way out of town, we will try the new one when I get back home. Hooked to power here in the camp ground, all is well. Thanks everyone for the help!

I have the same tt & when we’re using shore power & the fridg on auto my gas light is off. To keep your tt looking new try turtle wax ice, it holds up good and is easy on easy off.

Congrads on the new tt!

I was thinking about some kind of spray detailer, I used to use ice on my bike and helmet visor, good to know I can use it on the TT as well! Thanks!
