Jayco power jack not working

Hey everyone,

I have a 2013 Jayco jay flight 24’ bunk model that we bought used last year. It was stored under a cover all winter. We went to take it out last Thursday and discovered the jack would not work. I have power to the light. The buttons don’t seem to engage so maybe is just the switches? I’m at a lose as I don’t have a screw driver small enough to take the cover off to check out the internals lol thanks for any help!

Did you check the fuses, then check for a bad ground

I should have mentioned that. Yes I did. I’m leaning more towards the switches being shot.

Was the jack under a cover, too, or just the trailer? Water will get into the jack if not covered.

If there is an inline fuse on the jack.make sure that the contacts aren't corroded.

Looks like it was just the ext/ret switch. $20 and it’s fixed. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Mine had two fuses, the obvious inline was fine...the one tucked into a rubber cap in the wiring harness was blown from a hard stop all the way up. Easy fix good as new.

I had a lot of trouble with that second inline fuse. I declared victory when installed the new switches. Unhooked them so I could install them properly into the housing but I mixed up two wires. Blew both fuses but I only knew of the one so felt defeated for a bit lol.
