jayflight slx furnace question

Hi, this may sound like a dumb question, but has anyone used their coach battery to power their furnace blower on a newer jayflight slx? We just purchased a 2017, and during our walkthrough, the service tech told us that shore power was needed to power the furnace. That didnt sound right to me, so I was wondering if someone can confirm that the furnace will in fact run off of the coach battery??

Thanks

With most RV furnaces the battery will power the furnace ignition and fan, but that fan can run down a battery fairly quickly (one night or less on a standard battery). The propane provides fuel for the furnace. So the short answer is yes it will run off the battery as will the frig and lights.

jayflight slx furnace question

My 2016 slx 264bhw will run the furnace off just the battery no problem but yes it will drain the battery quickly. But for short heating cycles it works great

We have a '15 SLX, and X2 on everything that's been said. Just an additional note: your AC won't run off the batt, and furthermore, beware of running the AC if you happen to be plugged in at home to 110: that is hard on AC even though it will run. Don't know why I shared that...maybe hoping for warmer weather?
