Cool Led Ceiling Interior Puck Lights

We bought our 2019 Jay Flight SLX 8 287BHS new in the Spring of 2019. So far almost every ceiling light wired to the main cabin switch has flickered and failed. Also one light in the Master Bedroom. The only replacement I find is 03-HPG4980W35-10 from Command Electronics. I hate to replace junk with more junk. Looking for ideas from any Happy Camper with similar problems that has found a unique solution(s). Thank you.

Check the connections, Jayco uses Scotchlocks which have a tendancy to get loose connections. Loose connection may be at the one inline before that one. Almost all the lights are daisy chained in sequence. The lights from the factory are pretty good.

I thought they had this figured out. In my 2016 -- about all of them have failed. ITC and Jayco sort'a admitted to a bad batch. Several years ago, it was easy to find an exact replacement.

Jayco sent me a box of 8 for free.
Then ITC sent me four more for free.
But that was in 2017 or '18.

When another one failed this summer, and no replacement around, I just ordered some generic 12V T-10 sockets from eBay. And some 12V T10 bulbs too. Then a little rewiring and it was working again.

Essentially, you keep the "fixture" and just install a new socket and bulb. 12V T10 is very common. It'll be a fraction of the cost too.

I removed two of them for larger fixtures and carry the two for spares.

Our ‘13 5th had a total of 22 (if my count from memory is correct) similar fixtures with a mix of 10 & 20W T-3 halogen bulbs and those babies were HOT. As they started to fail I sourced LED replacements on eBay. They were shipped directly from the “country of origin” and were very inexpensive. I bought several spares which was good since they don’t seem very long-lived but that’s ok since they are so inexpensive and easy to change. Back to my point, Pconroy has a good suggestion, retrofit a bulb socket in the fixture and put what you want (bulb or LED) in. If your fixtures are metal/glass a halogen bulb might work (they are hot).
