Need Advice About Which Vent Covers....

I’m looking to purchase and install vent covers so that rain doesn’t come in the opened vent covers. I’d very much appreciate any advice or suggestions on the best brands, styles, and sources for these.

Maxxair II . Most airflow no issues with rain. Easy access for cleaning.

If you are covering a FanTasic Vent, check this video before you buy the cover.

I bought a cheap Camco version. It lasted 18 months in the Texas sun before it blew off while being towed.

I just bought another one.

That does not bother me. I use the ones I purchased years ago at a reasonable price to keep rain out. They do that fine and one is 10 years old and been on 2 rv's. Still keeping rain out and moving air.

In addition, air can get out on the lower edges because it's not sitting on a table with a flat surface.

MaxAir II. Very happy with them. I leave them open in storage, no water comes it. If the temps and humidity are high I close them when camping to keep some moisture out, or if it’s really cold I close em.

X2 on the Camco vent covers. I bought one for my bath fan about 5 years ago. Liked it so much I bought them for my other 2 vents. They are the white translucent ones that match my A/C cover. I bought them at Walmart for about 1/3 the cost of the other brands. Unfortunately, WM doesn't carry them in other colors, so if you're looking for black or "smoke" you'll have to go to Camping World. They carry the Camcoes with the CW logo in black/smoke as well as in white. I figure I can replace them 3 times for the price of the others, if they should become brittle and crack.

Just my $ .02!

On my Fantastic Fans, I've been using Fantastic vents covers for 6 years and 2 trailers. Never had one blow off, crack, or become brittle. But I coat them once per year with Aerospace 303 which fights off the UV rays.

Happy RVing,
Jeff
