New 224bh

Ok guys, picking up my new 224bh today. Any tips trick mods or any information anyone can give on this unit. I have a 2018 chevrolet silverado, it will be me wife and 11 year old son. We live in Winston Salem nc and already have a trip planned to Panama city over Thanksgiving. Looking forward to the story and memory's we will make.

I can't speak for your model, but I recommend poking around this forum for awhile and reviewing what others have done to theirs. After the first weekend in our 264BH, we ordered a memory foam topper for that very firm slab that Jayco calls a mattress. We have some storage ideas and looking for how to keep toiletries near the bathroom sink, but otherwise the thing is a joy.

If you have the queen bed option, please take note that it's an rv queen. Shorter than a home queen bed. There are lots of resources online that specialize in rv bedding.

Congratulations on the new addition!

We came very close to getting the 224BH but ended up with the 242BHS which is basically the same unit but with a slide at the Dinette. We would have been perfectly happy with the 224. I highly recommend these if you don't like the wobble. Takes out 95% of it and makes it feel very solid. It's the first thing I will do to any future trailer I may have, although I plan on keeping this one for a while. This is the front, I have 2 more going across the back.
