noobie question about cold weather camping

we are camping at Roan Mountain state park in Tennessee this weekend.
calling for low temps in mid to upper 20's. we will have our heater on inside. do I need to disconnect water hook up at night ?? what should I be concerned with. this is our very first cold weather camp.
any suggestions please advise.
thanks Troutcamper

We usually make sure the fresh tank has enough water for flushing, then disconnect the water from the trailer and hose bibb and drain it.

Many campgrounds shut off the water or have the proper water valves. Some even ask you to drip a outside faucet.

I have even run my hose thru pool noodles for extended stays and they even have heated hoses for those that must have water.

The faucet will likely be inoperable in the morning until the sen comes out and heats it above freezing.

Spoken like I do this all the time, HA! But we have camped in freezing weather.

Been camping down to the low 20's at night with above freezing temps in the day with no issues. We do not have an enclosed underbelly.

You do not want your hose connected or it will freeze, ad break the plastic fittings, and possibly cause a flood inside the TT. fully disconnect it and drain it.

We always fill our FW tank Full. The thermal mass will keep it from freezing. Plus water freezes from the top down. All are piping runs inside the TT through the wall cavities, so we open some of the cabinet doors at night to ensure heat can get in behind areas to ensure the pipes do not freeze.

Never been an issue due to some forethought.

You do not mention the TT you have, but do not be surprised with condensation inside. We always keep our bathroom vent cracked open, and a couple bunk windows to allow the moisture a place to escape.
