That would be my complaint also. Our 224bh does NOT have the awning extend over the outdoor kitchen. I think that's because to have a bigger awning would have added more weight, and the 224bh already does not have much cargo carrying capacity.

I don't care for outdoor kitchens on trailers, but what I would go for is an outdoor bar.

I LOVE mine in my 324BHTS...but...we camp with power 95% of the time and ride dirt bikes in Texas.

The extra fridge is awesome and saves ice expenses and hassles.

The sink is awesome for washing our dirtiness and maybe (cough) some dirt bike air filters.

I keep the electric fryer in the cabinet above and also have the TV out there that is handy.

Ours also has the newer grill instead of the two burners and its ok, but since it has no lid, its tricky for anything but burgers or dogs, so we still use our Weber Q200 set up right next to the outside kitchen.

So..for our life...its a must have!

I'd call ours a 1/2 outdoor kitchen. It's got a mini fridge, 2 burner stove (pull out), 1 drawer and a microwave.

I pulled out the microwave and now store my Weber in it's place.

I removed the gas stove and it is now a place for me to put my electric griddle I use for bacon/eggs, frying hashbrowns, or whatever else I would want to fry up. Might as well use electric, since I'm paying for an electric site.

The mini fridge is handy to keep my adult drinks cold, beats going inside to grab a drink.

The drawer houses the BBQ utensils.

The overall space to usefulness ratio is about right for me. If it were a bigger outdoor kitchen (like one with a 4ftx4ft door), I would think the space to usefulness ratio would be out of whack for me and I wouldn't have gone for it. Mine is about 2ftx4ft.
