Power jack not working

Hello I've been having a problem with my tongue jack. it will only work when I'm plugged into my truck. batteries are charged and I'm plugged in for power. anyone have any idea what I can check without taking it to camping world to have it looked at.

Is the battery charged? It takes a good bit of juice to run them.

If the jack has been un-covered "water intrusion"

I’ve had this happen to many times. There is a fuse in a small black case wired in between the battery and the body of the trailer. Mine is located almost beneath the trailer at the front part. Mine is a 30 amp fuse that continually blows.

Just a FWI. Camping world is clueless when it comes to this fuse. I went to the local Camping World to pick up a new fuse for the tongue jack. Parts handed me a 30 amp fuse standard fuse not the required slow blow. They had no clue that there is a difference.

Then get a 30 amp circuit-breaker from an automotive store. Also test your amp draw with a clamp on multi-meter.

Yep, it's the 30A blade fuse... Don't go to the limits of the jack... That's when mine blows. I'd recommend replacing the jack....

If you're wiring is the same as my 21QB the tongue jack and the tow vehicle charge line are both wired to the 30 amp fuse. That's why the jack works when plugged into the tow vehicle. The down side of this when the fuse blows the trailer battery does not get any charge from the tow vehicle. I removed the jack wire from the fuse and went straight to the battery. I don't know about your jack but my jack has a built in 20 circuit breaker. If you don't have the breaker, place one inline on the wire to the battery. Jayco saved the price of a ring connector and some wire with their goofy design.
