Power problems

Hello .... I own a 1999 Jayco Eagle and as of late my fridge and heater don't have power. After getting a new converter/battery charger my fridge and furnace dont have power. Is there a reset switch I need too reset too restore the power to these appliance's?

Welcome to the forum.

What norty1 asked: Your fridge needs 12v for the control circuit even when using propane and your furnace needs 12v power for the fan to run (if the fan won't run, the furnace won't light).

Was the new battery connected correctly? The '-' (negative) battery terminal goes to the trailer FRAME and it is usually WHITE. If the connections were even TOUCHED with the polarity reversed, it would blow the reverse polarity fuses in the converter/charger.

Find your fuse/breaker box (it may be below the stove or refer. There is a circuit breaker which controls the AC power to the refer and the air conditioner. It could be tripped (or faulty). Jayco has a funny way of labeling the layout of the breakers and fuses, but you can figure it out by flipping each breaker and seeing what shuts off with each one. When a breaker trips, the switch doesn't move very far. It may look fine, but push it down, let it set for a few seconds, then flip it back up to the top. If it doesn't hold in the "UP" position, you may have a short somewhere or a faulty breaker. Also, check the test and reset buttons on your GFCI electrical outlet. It should either be in the bathroom or the kitchen. If you have more than one, that could also cut out one line of the AC.

That about exhausts my electrical knowledge. Best of luck!
