Replacing faucet

We have a Jayco 26BH that has a leak under the bathroom sink. It seems like it’s coming from the actual Faucet and everything has been tightened. I believe we need to replace the Faucet. We have the PEX plumbing in there has anyone ever replace the Faucet and had the PEX plumbing? I’m wondering if we have to get a specific Faucet

Its pretty simple to R&R the faucets. The connection is still the same. I replaces both bath and kitchen faucets with residential units from Lowes.

Could be the cone washer is distorted.

I took a day and replaced all the plastic pex connectors with brass including the sink connectors. We have also replaced both our faucets with residential units and really like the small upgrade they bring.

Install some cutoff valves while you are in there. Also check and make sure your outside shower is cut off good and the fitting are tight. Our outside shower is under that same bathroom sink.

Replaced all the faucets in my TT with PEX plumbing involved. Just make sure you replace the rubber cone washer and hold the PEX line straight on the faucet while tightening the nut. Jayco has been known to barely give enough PEX tubing to reach the faucet without having to sort of stretch it to make the connection.

I personally think you’re better off I can cut off valves so if you have a leak later you can turn off the leaking plumbing and still have water in other parts of your camper

I thought about installing Sharkbite cut off valves when replacing mine, but I heard some say that they may not hold up to all the vibrations towing. Plumbers do not like them and are not allowed to use them. I really like the concept of them. I may still try one in the toilet line if I have to replace my toilet valve in the future.

I have a Sharkbite shut off valve in my toilet line and it has held up nicely 3 years and counting.

I am not a big fan of Sharkbite or Watts fittings. But I have a few of each in my TT. I have not had any issues with any of them.

I also am not a fan of the simple crimp rings Jayco uses.

I don't believe a special faucet is necessary. My cousin replaced his cheapo trailer faucets with regular home faucets he bought at a "big-box" store. Not only did he get much better quality faucets, but paid less than from an RV retail store.

What he said X2!^^^^ Unless some local building code ordinance flies in the face of the IBC, they are not prohibited. They have been installed in my rental properties by licenced plumbers for several years now since I specified them. Once installed, I can use the simple disconnect tool and replace anything that has failed up to and including a tankless without having to call a plumber.

No specific faucet necessary, though going from PEX tubing to the typical residential faucet compression fitting may require a little extra effort to find the right connector. I had to get them from Amazon, though the upside is that I got the "transition" connector and the shutoff valve all in one.
