Question Route Advice

Hi! New to the forum- recently purchased the Jayco Jayflight SLX 224BH. Going out to Yellowstone this June (already read and posted on a previous thread). However, we are adding 2 days in Gros Ventre Campground to do as much as we can in a day and half in the Grand Tetons. I know it's pushing it but this was last minute and we are just going to see what we can do. What I am here to ask, is 1) how is the grade from West Yellowstone to Gros Ventre? So far RV trip wizard has us going south through Yellowstone entering northern part of the GTNP. 2) are there any alternative routes? We though we could go West into Idaho and then east, but I have a feeling either way is going to have steep grades for us. If anyone has any insight on what to expect, that would be great.

Full disclosure: this is our first TT, first time pulling in the mountains, first big trip! We have 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500.

P.S. Travel route west IL-WI-MN-ND-MT-WY Travel route east WY-NE-IA-IL

Check out this thread. I has a lot of great information on the trip you are planning. We hope to make it as well in a few years.
