Sewer pipe connect damage

I have a new Octane 222 and took it out for the first time this weekend. I didn't hook up to sewer till I got ready to dump. When I started to clamp the hose I noticed two of the four notches that the hose clamp latches onto were broken off!

Is this an easy fix? I was able to go ahead and do it but I had to hold the hose clamp tight against the connector.

If you have enough pipe to cut and reglue a new fitting, then it's an easy fix. Most rv places have that fitting.

Easy fix but personally I would have the dealer repair it under warranty.

Then you end up spending $20-30, or more on a $5 fix. And of course a total waste of a day hauling rig to and from. If you live next door to the dealer, I guess go for it.

I thought a lot of dump valves only come with 2 of the locking lugs anyway. If it doesn't leak I wouldn't worry about it. If it does just order a new valve from Amazon and replace only the outlet pipe and be done with it.

$17, 4 bolts, 10 minutes and you're done. Has to be easier than a trip to the dealer and leave for a week and go back and pick it up.

Put it on your list for when you do take the RV into the dealer... I am sure there will be a few things that pop up..
