Shower leaks at glass panel and pan

2016 Jayco White Hawk 23MRB with corner shower.
I want to recall due to leaking at junction of glass panels and shower pan. The wonderful folks at the factory used silicone!!
It looks like job would be easier to remove the two panels and door to clean old caulk and reinstall and recall with something beside silicone.
What say ya'll?.

Every trailer/motorhome I have had has had silicone sealing the showers. I resealed some of the seals over time. I recently removed the trifold shower doors on the Greyhawk and installed a Nautilus Retractable door and they, in the instructions, recommended silicone seal. Why do you want something else?

Just as CAG said, everyone I've owned has been sealed with Silicone too. Silicone isn't supposed to be used on the outside of a rig, it's perfect for the bathroom.

Our 2015 White Hawk shower leaked so bad, the wall next to the kitchen was replaced under warranty. To make sure it didn't happen again, one of the techs completely resealed every seam in the shower with silicone.

I guess you could use Flex Seal in place of the sillycone!

#1 - I`m an ex paint contractor, can't paint it
#2 - silicon not sticking to shower walls (?), can hardly get it off the metal
#3 - thought it would be easier than working in a cramped space
#4 - did I say I HATE silicon!!!
Whether I use silicone or something else I don't like shower leaks!
On the silicone and shower walls I can rub off with my fingers.
Is it just straight forward, remove screws and remove???
Last tt was a Flagstaff, got rid of silicon and no more leaks, used Geocel Pro Flex.

LOL
1. Why would you want to paint a shower stall?
2. Never had a problem with it sticking. My new shower door is sealed fine.
3. One tube or another. What is the difference?
4. Personal preference but it works fine.
5. Use whatever floats your boat!

I don’t understand why it’s the silicones fault that the shower is leaking. Are you sure the weep holes didn’t get filled with excess silicone or I've even seen the tracks installed backwards so the weep holes drain to the outside of the tub.

No weep holes....just a really poor caulk job at the factory, imagine!
I'm the third owner, precious two hardly used it. Neither one used the oven, foam wrap is still on oven racks and pan.

We stopped using silicone in bath and kitchen remodels years ago. Silicone isn't your friend. It yellows and will mold...yes it will...read the label...mold resistant! Also, to 'fix' a silicone bead, you have to remove the old, since it won't stick to itself. Switched to Lexel 15 years ago and never looked back. It's a poly...thane that is water clear and doesn't yellow. Can be applied over itself and it melts into itself. 100% waterproof and 100% mold proof. Also comes in white. Dap, Osi and others now have the same. Lexel is avail. in a small 'toothpaste' tube so you don't need a whole 10 oz cartridge for a small run. Trick to finger smoothing is to use a well wetted finger of mineral spirits. Move fast and re-wet at the first sign of 'drag'.
