After much discussion, both on this forum and at home, on what to do with bath towels in the 26bh, this is what I finally did.
We bought thin towels at the West Elm Outlet store today, and rolled them up with the few we had. Since we reuse them a few days anyway, this should help stretch towels during our summer trips.
We were faced with the same problem seeing that our average trip is 10 weeks at a time. We bought towels BB& Beyond that were 24"X 48" and that really helps us to cut our laundry trips to once every 2 weeks. We take 15 pairs of socks and undies.
Tunce, I bought baskets for socks, undies, sleep clothes, and swim suits. We keep those baskets in the cabinets above the queen bed. We can bring quite a lot this way, and it doesn’t end up in a messy jumble with the big clothes. Helps so much.
Although we don’t take trips nearly as long as yours, I try to avoid washing clothes until we get home. Towel washing had been unavoidable for trips longer than 4 days—until now. Still can’t go too long, but it helps.
