Yep - I would agree with this as well. For me it was back-packing and there was nothing like being the only one around for miles and unzipping the tent in the morning to things like below:

My home base is 1/4 mile from a major railroad line with many trains passing through daily. When I get to a camp site off somewhere as I am now I actually miss that sound. Trains are loud when passing through small towns at speed, but it is a sound I guess I like.

This past weekend it was the thump thump thump of our 7 year old coming up the steps (again) while he was playing outside. One of those sounds that's annoying at first but you then appreciate when you realize it will some day be gone.

The roar of the furnace kicking on. It's not that I like it that much, but is a unique sound to RV's.

The loud rumble of vehicles going over the wood decked iron truss bridge at our favorite campground, Winhall Brook. Winhall Brook is an Army Corp campground in South Londonderry Vermont. To access the South side of the campground, you come down a steep, narrow hill then make a sharp 90 degree turn across a 1 lane iron truss bridge with a wood deck that rumbles loudly, a very distinct sound.

There is a bridge like that over the spillway in Lake Junaluska, NC. Only for cars but it is a unique sound that can be heard for miles.

Both well used. Now up to 170 nights camping and 40,000 miles on the TT since purchase.
