Torklift glowstep

The steps on our 32bhds are no longer usuable. We have removed them in order to put in the Torklift glowstep revolution. I have seen a few posts/threads of some that have installed them. There is no place to attach them to in the space the old steps were. We did purchase the the vertical (a8022) stud adapter bracket. However the bolts that are in the stud under the floor from the old steps are not quite spaced apart enough as well as the bolts on the I-beam where the original steps attached.
Has anyone who has installed theses steps with this issue drilled all new holes to fit? If not what did you do? We don’t want to tear out the “card board” cover on the bottom to verify what is behind everything if we don’t have to to make sure we aren’t drilling into anything important. I know the vertical adapter has two holes on top but there is not another stud within that space (from the stud where the old steps were bolted on) to attach it in both places.

It sounds like you didn’t get the correct width. I’d suggest taking some measurements of the bolt spacing and width of the new steps and contact Torklift

I had my dealer install mine since my old back doesn't work as well as my new steps. I was sure glad I had them yesterday since my site isn't level front to back and the adjustable legs made the steps rock solid as usual.

I have been extremely happy with these steps which are used full time since January 2016 when they were installed. I should have installed them sooner. Great product.
