I had a 2 inch receiver that i bolted on to my white hawk rear bumper and used it for years. There is a weight limit for that bumper. on mine it was 200lbs. The receiver just clamped on the read bumper with 4 bolts, no drilling necessary. I used it to carry bicycles.

On my former 2019 Rockwood Mini Lite I installed bumper Safety Struts (two per frame) and a Curt bolt on 2 inch receiver hitch. I bought an RV approved Swagman Escapee two bike rack. Traveled over 7K miles (2 yrs.) with this setup and never had any issue. No bouncing – I had a Furrion backup/observation camera to monitor the bikes and road. I always checked the bike rack at each gas stop. The Swagman Escapee bike rack comes with a screw-in bolt to lock the bike rack’s shank into the Curt receiver. No movement or bouncing. No stress put on the bumper welds.

I will be installing the same Safety Struts and Curt bumper receiver on our 2021 Jay Feather 25RB when we receive our TT this Spring. I plan to install only two Safety Struts (one per frame) on our Jay Feather.

The spare tire was kept in the front pass thru storage.
