Up on the roof.

I have a 2020 jay feather x23b hybrid and would like to get on the roof to clean and inspect the seams. I weight 215 lbs. is getting on the roof a safe thing to do to the camper?

Yes. No issue with that weight.

Not a problem, we weigh about the same. You will notice the roof will flex. The trusses are 24" on center, and the plywood is on the thinner side.

I recommend dropping the stabilizers, and wrap a towel around your extension ladder were it touches the roof. I did not the first time up, and put a small tear into the membrane. I also always make sure my shoes are clean and nothing in my pockets that might tear the thin rubber membrane.

X2 on putting stabilizers down with wheels chalked good. I'm that weight give or take and uncomfortable putting that stress and more important movement totally on the tongue jack.

Just a suggestion... I use a 4'x4' 1/2" thick piece of plywood and I kneel on it when I am on my roof to distribute my 200 lb. weight. I broke a truss on my last TT which supposedly was walkable.

I just do it as an abundance of caution. I did walk on the roof during PDI with my current TT and had no issues.

Step/stand on the trusses to be on the safe side or use a couple pieces of ply wood like I do.

Up on the roof

I use several dense foam 2" insulating blocks 12"x36" to walk on. Blow roof off first to remove anything that could penetrate to roof under the foam blocks...works for me...

Lots of great suggestions and they were pretty much what I was leaning towards. I agree with some sort of cushion to distribute the weight and will do so myself. Thanks to all who shared their words of wisdom.
