Update on 2010 314BDS brakes

Just wanted to give some info on the brake issues some of us are having. My brakes have been squeeling since new like many reports on this site. I have appt. next week at dealer. I contacted Jayco to inquire about many reports of issues,,, they were wishy washy on giving me a straight answer. I then contacted Dexter this morning and spoke to a woman in service. Man did she give me some info...... She stated they are having issues with some magnets they produced for 2010 brakes.... not all.... they tried saving money and scrimped on the magnet sizes.... she said that backfired. She said that my magnets and backing plates will have to be replaced if they are the bad ones.. She also stated that if dealer has issues with Jayco.... have dealer contact Dexter directly for free replacement parts.... Just wanted all to know in case dealers or Jayco are no help.... Good luck to all involved. Happy and safe camping to all.......

Thanks for the update! Don and I appreciate it and even better if it helps our dealer with a permanent fix for our tt. I sent the link of this thread to the service manager at our dealer. Our dealer has new pads on order for us, but if the "fix" includes new magnets and backing plates we asked that they do this also. This will be our forth trip down there for the same issue. I hope it's our last *fingers crossed*!

click for more info on others "fixes" regarding the 2010 self-adjusting brakes
