Water Damage 2003 Jayco Kiwi 25E

We recently noticed some warping in the ceiling over our sofa of our 2003 Jayco Kiwi. We opened the closet and cut a bit of the laminet out and saw the plywood very wet and black. We climbed up on the roof and it appears we have a leak in the seam. The damage appears to be about a 5 x 3 section. I called the dealer this morning and they told me that I had to replace the whole roof. They said it comes as one big part. Does this sound accurate? If not does anyone have any ideas on a quick fix by someone unskilled in this matter? I am afraid that if we just repair the leak from the outside we will have mold issues etc down the road. Any advice would be helpful.
