Water Filtration to Refrigerator pouring onto ground

We just got our brand new 2021 Eagle RSTS out of the shop (in for 3 mos) and took it out 3 hrs away on my hubbies out of town job. Hooked up a new 5 gal jug of water to the under sink filter system and turned everything on. Came back that evening expecting a full ice container in the freezer door but only to find that the entire 5 gallons of water dumped out onto the ground below under the refrigerator (outside)

What in the world caused this? One of the issues of why the RV was in the shop so long is the ice maker (residential Whirlpool side by side) had stopped working. Took 3 mos to figure out something was wrong with the Fridge water filter. After several trips by the Whirlpool guy it was realized the (new never used) water filter was bad. Replaced it and boom... made ice! (according to the repair team) Everything was drained and ice emptied upon picking it up at the end of Dec. It was in covered storage all of January (North Texas) and this is the first use of the RV since September 2021.

Is there a valve that needs to be turned? Something during winterization that was turned off? Not sure what the warranty/repair folks at Jayco did. There was perfect ice in December and now there is water dumping straight through the fridge onto the ground outside. Makes no sense.

Anyone seen this or have any clue????

Had that happen on a motor home. The plastic water solenoid valve on the lower outside back of the fridge froze and cracked during a cold snap.

X2, improper winterization. I do not use jayco's fresh 5 gallon water system, pain in the butt. Our 12v pump is connected to a 120v adapter, gotta be plugged in to get a drink. PITA to winterize, I fill a ice cube tray if I want ice.

There should also be a low point drain for that line. It may be open.

On a lark we were given one of those portable ice makers (https://www.amazon.com/Frigidaire-EF...xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==)

We pulled it into the RV last summer.
Doggone that thing works good.

Makes a ton of ice quickly.

Turned into a drinking game - can I finish this whisky before the next batch of rocks arrive?

so we got a good look at it over the weekend and this is what we found... the valve that the water line attatches to on the back of the fridge was snapped in half! Not freezing temp related. Completely busted in two! The low point drain was still open so thats where the water went to but thankfully it was open or the water may have come inside under the fridge. Dealing with the warranty/repair for JAYCO as it may have been known by the outside contracted tech that it had been broken and they may have tried to hide it. Wish there was a way to post pics here.

But there was no water in the line. It had been completely drained. Also the sheet metal behind the fridge is bent up. Has to be some other damage cause. Seems the repair tech didnt secure the fridge after he was done. Its sliding around now. That could have snapped it I'm now thinking. If cold weather did this we're in trouble. We need a supply of these plastic parts lol

That line is coming from the top, there is no way that it drained using gravity. Unless the system was purged using air and the ice-maker cycled several times that valve had water in it.
