Water Leaking Over Window and In Lights
Good Evening,
I am glad I found this site, as it appears tough to find good info online about trailers. We have a 2017 154BH JayFlight purchased new. We are first time owners of a TT We live in Washington State and keep the trailer covered in the winter.
This spring, I found a few dripping leaks above the front window on the inside. It was easy to tell the gasket/seal behind the window was worn out (no caulking was used). That was an easy fix. Well, a few days ago, I noticed more water coming in from behind the cabinets on the front above the window. After some inspection, I noticed the front running lights on top (led assembly) were not screwed in fully and the cheap foam gasket was drenched. Furthermore, the hole inside was very wet.
First, should I simply caulk around all the lights and Windows as Jayco didn't/does not do that? Second, repair shop (way too expensive), said I need touch up sealant on the roof and there is a small hole. Any experience with Eternabond Tape for the hole? And, I am struggling to find if I have TPO or EPDM (can't find it in the manual) to use the appropriate roof sealant. Thanks you!
