Wax

Getting ready to wax my new JayFlight for the first time. It’s aluminum not fiberglass. I’m a fan of turtle wax paste but it’s 29 feet long and a lot to wax! What do you guys use? I really only want to wax twice a year max.

Thanks!

We recently switched to RejeX "where nothing sticks but the shine" which has made subsequent cleaning much easier.

Maguires Quik Wax. Wipe on, that's it. Wash the trailer first. Once a year on my RV, cars, boats and it lasts all year.

Give Meguiars Hybrid ceramic wax a try. It’s a spray on hose off wax. (The first application is spray on and wipe off). Very easy to use

I "waxed" my tt for the first time ever Sunday. Ours is smooth fiberglass, I hate waxing the car, figure the tt would be worse. It was really easy, as there is no reaching over a long hood or roof.

I used a liquid polymer, by McGuire's called Paint Perfect. Lightly apply a small amount and wipe off any extra. Probably used 2 tablespoons worth. It looks great.

Fyi, last summer I did my truck with it used maybe a 1/2 worth, it was slimy for a week or two, but it still needs water beautifully, and the dirt just slides right off, in the rain.

Historically I have been using a McGuire's wash and wax. It worked, but it did not make the tt shine, like this Perfect Paint.

I’m thinking the spray wax is for me. I guess I’ll just do it a few times each year. Has to be better than nothing. Has anyone heard of issues with the vinyl decals and waxing?

The Meguiars can be used on all surfaces including vinyl.

I just order some of this, I'm looking at least doing to front cap before our 1500 miles trip one way.

I just use soap and water at least twice a year. This makes me check the caulking and for possible tears in the membrane.

I just started using Collinite 845 insulator wax. All I can say is wow it really works and is easy on easy off and you don't need much... This is a test year to see if it works all year long or not... rumor is it lasts 12 months, I do the klasse sealant on first so that might be why it is so easy on easy off... it really makes the boat, truck look awesome. I will try it on the trailer and see they have different formulas for all different things....
