Wax before storing for winter?

We made the most out of our first season with nine trips. It’s been a blast. Now we are ready to put the RV cover on until spring. Any opinions on waxing now or waiting till Spring? I read I should wax twice per year but it does not seem to make much since to do it now.

AS you're waxing it to protect the finish, I would think you'd want to do it before you put it away for the winter, but that's just me. It will make it easier to clean when you take it out again. My neighbor is having his truck ceramic coated. I'm going to call on that next week a it supposedly negates the need to wax it for a few years. Not that I mind getting out there and investing in some elbow grease, its just that the wifey hates me up on the roof. That said, I used that to my advantage to justify a 12" platform ladder that makes it sooooo easy to wash the roof now. It's damn big and a bear to move around but beats potentially falling off the roof...

I use a wax marked "ceramic" but it does not say years, it says 6 months. I don't think waxing will hurt and them may help. Appearance is a great part of resale so keeping the outside is important.

I give ours a good waxing at the beginning of the season. It still looks good after washing and I doubt I’ll wax it again until spring. If the cover is doing it’s job, you shouldn’t need to wax it again to protect it over the winter. JMHO.

A coat of wax prior to winter storage IMO will clean up any oxidation due to summer UV exposure, stains, black streaks, etc....., and will make spring clean-up that much easier.
