WhiteHawk suspension question

Was looking closely at the springs on my WhiteHawk and noticed that the spring Shackles are mounted a little strange. Any ideas why Jayco would have mounted them like this. Looks like a failure waiting to happen.

Mine look just like that, 23MRB.
Frame is basically a u- channel and that design gives it the support needed. All my welds look good and nothing is bent.
Oh, mine is a 2016.

IMO not a 'robust' design weldment for a frame/suspension arrangement when you consider the potential forces at play...., and as mentioned give all the associated welds a good visual inspection.
