1207 Roof bracing Rotting wood

I am installing some interior roof bracing on the inside at the ends and center near the AC unit. My roof sags slightly to center due to the weight of the AC but also at one end where there is a dent in the top as if someone sat on it. No stains or evidence of previous water leaks inside. But when I took off the round light jack fixture and poked a bit at the wood Yeah its got some rot up there.
With that I am no where wanting to handle a roof rebuild since just got done with weeks of brake swap, total rewiring, lift system tweaking, some interior changes.

Am thinking the cross bracing will eliminate the sagging and after installing them I will reseal the roof top.
Any thoughts ?

What year? There should be two metal support pieces running side to side under the a/c. Did someone add air with out the prep package?
