All my Jayco's have been and are plywood. I have yet to see OSB or chipboard used on a unit in any way.

Both have been Eagle 5'er's but pretty sure it is model wide. If you mention the specifc unit possibly one member with a similar unit will respond. You can also ask Jayco directly through the web.

Considering each bunk hold 1050lbs, I ain't no engineer. But I would think it had to be plywood. Our 2014 is.

Our 2014 WhiteHawk 30 DSQB had the quad bunk room....all beds are on plywood....top bunks have a weight rating on them but a big person is not going to be getting up there anyway.

Funny you say that. A family member has a 2013 Starcraft popup and the tent ends are OSB. Since they are owned by Jayco does Jayco use this material in their Popup line as well?

I was considering interior bunks when I answered above as one over the other and not the tent end slide outs in Pop ups to clarify my answer.

Also the OSB is not protected in anyway from the elements, it's raw underneath.

It's plywood. I have seen a problem on my Dinette seats where the plywood was pieced together and the short piece would buckle if you stood on it. May have to eventualy replace it myself.

Jayco used to make a big deal out of using plywood for thier pop-up bunks as most other manufacturers used particle board. I noticed that the 2015 Jayco PUP line doesn't say anything about plywood in the standard features list, where-as the Jayfeather Ultra-Lite list states "Plywood dinette, bunk and bed bases", which is what our X20E has, as has the other Jayco trailers we've owned.
