After market pop up airconditioner

Good morning! New member here. I have a 2008 Jay series pop up. Has anyone done an after market airconditioner install. If so any info on price and the install itself would be appreciated!

I have seen a few things done;

More traditional;
Installed traditional RV AC on the roof at the roof vent.

Little more red neck;
Window AC mounted in a corner of the canvas
Best one I have seen is a portable AC with the exhaust duct mounted through a corner where it is all velcro'd together. This has looked good, and affordable. But it does take floor space.

Any pictures of the portable a/c set up. We bought one recently as a temporary solution. I've tried a couple different set ups. Trying not to drill through the camper. Thanks for the response !

If you are not a member already you might want to join pop up portal, great site lots of good info. I learned a lot there when I had my pop-up. lots of discussion over there about this exact subject.

We did the portable a/c unit. The a/c unit sat on a counter directly under the power vent.
We ran 5 inch flexible vent tubing from the a/c unit to the power vent. Only issue we had was to remember to run the drain tube outside the trailer (there is a gap in the tenting)
Are we there yet? is offline   Reply With Quote

I added one to our Pop-Up. Removed the vent from the roof and installed in same hole. Fit perfectly. I found it on Craigslist for $200.00. It came off a newer camper that had gotten flooded, but not that high up. I did by a new seal from Amazon.
