We just purchased a 2018 Jay Sport 10SD and I'm hoping to take advantage of your experiences as TT owners.
My first question is what, if anything, you folks use to monitor your battery power? I thought there was a meter or monitor inside the trailer but I can't seem to find one. I know I could simply open up the lid and use my multi-meter but if there's a mod of some kind that would save me having to do that while camping without hook-ups I'd love to hear about it.
Second question is just basically what is your number one tip to new owners about these trailers?

Is solar in your future? If so a shunt and monitor that will work with your future solar system is AWSUM ( not cheap but it will be part of the future system ) - if not a digital voltage gauge that plugs into a power port ( cigarette lighter for us old guys ) ( less than $20 ) is a good source of information

What is AWSUM? Never heard of it, neither has Google, at least not in reference to solar power.

Trimetric makes good quality battery monitors if you are interested in going solar and want to monitor things like amp-hours.
If all you want to monitor is voltage then one of the cigarette lighter plug in types would work.
If you do not currently have a multi-meter I would highly recommend you first get a multimeter that is able to clamp onto the battery cables and measure DC current, rather than a battery monitor.

Thanks for the replies and advice. I've got a multi-meter similar to the one you've linked to DanNJanice and will be packing for use this weekend. Being that it's so late in the season and that we plan on doing lots of camping without hookups next season I think I will look into the merits of going solar.
