Electric Lift System

Good day, hope it's a good one.
Now on with my problem.

I have a Jay Series 12HW and a problem. My Beast is a 2010 and does not have an electric lift system. I cannot get the roof up without help and need to install an electric lift so I can go out by myself.

There is no one close by that will do this install, not even Jayco dealers (which I think is rotten) so I'm trying to figure out how to do this for my local mechanic or my friend who is an engineer and somewhat mechanically inclined.

Has anyone ever done this, or have any ideas on where I can find the information? I checked youtube but they don't any videos for the Jayco and what they do have is way different from my Beast?

I use a 20 volt Harbor freight cordless drill to lift mine. I simply cut the crank about 10" long, beat it into a tight fitting 3/8 drive socket, and I use an adapter that fits my cordless to 3/8 socket.

Fantastic!

Fantastic idea, thanks, will see if I can get a friend to this. Cheaper even than a Socket Jenie!
