Jayco Qest 2003 12a outlets don't work on battery

Hi, me and my family are on our first camping trip with this pop up and all of a sudden our outlets don't work. We do not have a 110-240v hookup and I am sure that the battery is attached correctly. The lights work.

outlets only work when hooked to shorepower unless you have added an inverter to power them.

you must be plugged into 120 volts for the outlets to work. You do not need 240 in a popup. Lights are 12 volts.

Yep, the 120 volt AC household outlets only work when connected to shore power, generator, or if you have an inverter connected to the battery.

Now you might have a few 12V dc outlets. They will work off the battery. They will look like the AUX outlets in your car, or a small 1/4" hole that looks like an old school headphone jack. Possibly integrated in the ceiling light or a special plug near the bunk ends again mounted on the ceiling.

Have a great trip

Look for a switch on the converter. Select Battery if that is an option.
Mine switch has three positions: Batt-Off-Conv(110v)

All 12v electrical circuits should be protected with a fuse so check those at the convertor as well.

Were you plugged into shore power when everything was working?

Thanks for the reply! You just completed the loop by telling us it is resolved.

Someone may want more details to help them if they had the same problem.

Enjoy!
