Just killin' time but I might as well ask

Winter blues are setting in already...'92 Jayco pop up camper 1006. Actually in pretty good shape. This camper uses stretchable cord to hook around circular plastic nobs underneath the pull out beds to hold down the canvas...To keep mosquitoes out, etc. The stretchable rope is woven through the sown edge of the canvas and occasionally loops through grommets. One of my grommets broke so now the canvas is starting to tear. Has anyone ever put new grommets in their tent? Has anyone ever sewn their tent to prevent additional tearing of the canvas? Any good tent sewing kits out there? More interested in the grommets answer though. Thanks - I appreciate your input.

I've put new grommets in tarps and cloth with much success but yours sounds like you need a little more reinforcement. You might need the help of a sail maker for your problem.
