On another forum, we keep a picture of a train wreck handy. It gets used very often; Every time a thread gets derailed.
50A, 75A, 200A service won't change the fact that your cord is only 10ga wire and will fail rather expensively (set fire to the trailer) when you overload it!
A 30A plug into a 30A outlet backed by a 30A breaker keeps everybody and everything safe.
There are those of us who knowingly press the margins of safety. And we are not surprised when our experiments let the Magic Smoke out of the wires.
Until and unless one fully understands the damage that 120VAC (and the doubly powerful 240VAC) can do, stay with what the licensed professionals provided.
