RVONE Purchase

OK so we ordered our new330 RSTS through RVONe
I have a delivery question for anyone that may have bought from them
I have the delivery date, we paid $$$$ down as requested ,no issue there
what I would like to know,we are driving almost 1000 K to pick this up
They want us to Pay in full once the RV is delivered to there Lot in De Moines Iowa ,just asking if this is standard practice ??? I would not buy a Car with out a very good look

How long will it sit on their lot before you pick it up?

That` s the way it was 7 yrs ago when I bought my Jayco from them. Down payment when ordering, insured and funded before you ever see it. It all worked out fine for me as there were no issues but not sure I would go that route today being a much more informed buyer.

We purchased from RV express in Middlebury and that is exactly how ours worked out. We did see and walk through our unit while waiting to finish up the paperwork, but the PDI was done after.

These are not an individual your purchasing from, but a very large (relatively speaking) company with a long history. If you don't feel comfortable with the arrangements, then you may want to purchase from another dealer.

We drove 2000 miles to pick ours up... not a single issue. We did stay in town for several days to "shake" everything out, and tour the Jayco facilities.

More then likely everything will work out just fine. My on!y concern was if there was a major issue they have my money, I own the unit and may have to wait to get it fixed and come back again. In my case it was about 430 miles each way. We camped about 30 miles from there the first night to try everything out and all went well.

We bought ours that way 5 years ago. I was a bit reluctant to make a purchase like that but after going through it I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. Warranty work at our local dealer was not a problem at all either.

I initially shared your same concern. After reading all the reviews on them, it put my worries to rest. I got "the call" ahead of the previous 10 week window that they had mentioned and the coach is waiting for me in Des Moines as well.

We will be flying out a month from tomorrow (Wed) for the PDI and the maiden voyage back to Bend, Oregon. I can't wait.

I got my power monitor, my water pressure regulator, and my clear sewer elbow. I'm ready to go.

I've posted about them previously on this forum. It seems scary but as a 2 time buyer I can tell you that they are very legitimate and professional. Good luck!!!

This is the very scenario I was referring to although likely a rare occurrence not good if it happens to be you.

We went through the same process. As soon as I had the VIN # and final payment was en route I called my insurer with the information to make sure I had insurance on the trailer in between the date that ownership transferred and I picked up the trailer. If there had been a serious defect during PDI, I would have refused to haul the trailer off their lot, however our PDI revealed nothing of any significance and we have had no warranty issues since except for a fading front fiberglass cap which could not have been known during PDI.

Are you paying by check or financed? I had the bank check made to the dealer AND me. I gave them the check and countersigned it once I was satisfied all was in order. It gave them peace of mind they were getting their cash while still kissing my butt till I signed the check. Never had an issue.

You also have to remember that they have to pay for it before it even leaves the factory.

I had a little different experience. Our special order (through RVOne) WH 28DSBH arrived at Buffalo RV a few weeks ago. I called the dealership and requested to come in and look at it. They hauled it right to the dealership from their storage yard and let me inspect it all alone for as much time as I needed. No money changed hands (except for the $500 down payment when I ordered). I ended up not taking the unit because it came in without all the options I ordered. RVOne did offer to reorder the unit with the correct options, and I did. They have been easy to deal with so far and they also took complete responsibility for not ordering the first trailer properly. The only thing I did notice is that the employees at Buffalo RV weren't too motivated to assist an RVOne customer (although they did, but customers in the showroom took priority) Most likely because the local dealership isn't making money off my sale, only the parent company (RVOne) is. All in all, the experience has been good and totally worth saving almost 35% off the true MSRP.

I guess the important thing to ask here is.... Since they have my money up front. After doing the PDI and problems are found. How fast will they take care of it?

My Seneca 37TS is scheduled to arrive in Orlando RVone in mid May. I was uncomfortable with the "paid in full before the PDI is scheduled". I called the dealer and was told i can inspect the unit, pay and then schedule the PDI, usually a few days later. This will take more time but I want to see my unit before paying in full.
