No I don't empty mine out and I make sure all the compartment doors are locked, BUT,
I do make sure there is nothing in the refrigerator and it is turned off and dry. When at the dealer or anywhere else for maintenance, it will not be plugged into shore power!

I don't think that's an easy question. I base it on what I'm going in for and how long it may be. I definitely advise doing the refrigerator for sure. Last time I went in it was 6 months and I took everything possible but left the bedding and some stuff in the storage area. I'm going in this week again and planning on another 6 months but doing a little more than last time. Only reason is the area they may be working on, Such as the stuff in the entertainment center and a cabinet section on a wall that needs work. I look at it this way, if I can't deal with something coming up missing I take it with me. Yes it's not fun for sure, I already have a 5x8 trailer quite loaded as we speak.

6 months? Wow, that seems beyond reasonable unless you are having something truly major done. You can get a stick-built house completed from the ground up in less time!

As to OP's question, I definitely clean and dry out the refrigerator plus remove anything I think susceptible to "walking off" - like tools, portable compressor, inverter, DVDs, etc.

I see no value in locking all the compartments - the dealer has a master key...

We are taking ours in tomorrow. Emptied the refrigerator/freezer, all dry and canned stuffs that could attract "critters" or otherwise go bad, all electronics and expensive appliances (aka: Breville Oven, Keurig), and anything else that could be hocked or not easily replaced.

Things like some clothes, bedding toiletries, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc. are staying unless they are in an area that will be worked on.

In general I do not. The frig is always cleaned out, and the doors are latched in the cracked open position.

If the warranty work is going to occur, in an area where I store stuff, If I think they need to move it, if I do not want it damaged/dirty, then I clear out that space. Otherwise I do not.

Recently there was a post where a gentleman did have his camper broken into while at the dealer, and stole things like the TV, and made a huge mess. So it may not be a bad thing to remove a few items.

Do remember when you get to the dealership to disconnect the battery. The dealer not keep the TT on shore power and the parasite load will drain the battery within a week or two.

I couldn't do this because one of the items on my list of warranty repairs is an inoperative battery disconnect switch. I was concerned if I disconnected the battery they would reconnect it and say "problem fixed."
