I especially like the hot water heater door. I am trying to figure out how to change mine from the four screws. It is also on the bottom under the refrigerator so you have to get down on your knees. Ugh. Unfortunately, my panel you remove fits flush inside the opening. I may have to cut the panel down some so it can open easily. When you remove the four screws, you have to pull it out as it is a snug fit. I like your idea with the hinges and pull. I will have to see how I can modify mine to swing open.
