How does the 7.3 do pulling the trailer? If you have pulled with a diesel how does it compare? If I were to ever have a gasser that would be it.

7.3 pulls the 357MDOK beautifully. Doesn't sway when getting passed by big rigs, have pulled through moderate grades, with more power on tap if I wanted more speed. Only thing I'd prefer is an exhaust brake, but not sure all the cons with owning a diesel is worth it.

I hear you there. Pulling from Phoenix with anything over 7,500 lbs the prevailing wisdom was you almost had to have diesel because of our steep grades north of Phx. I have been very happy with my truck, but that 7.3 has certainly made me think twice about my next truck in 4-5 years.

Nice truck, hope you got a steal on it. Good luck with STELANTIS (Formerly FCA) and service. Have more than a handful of friends who have ongoing parts problems all across their car and truck lines.

You've done a really nice job with that truck. Did you fab the front bumper also?

Thanks! Unfortunately, no. I had already bought it when I decided to build the rear.

You are welcome. The truck looks great. As you can tell, I have a soft spot for these older diesels.

We had a hard time finding had them in stock. Only a waiting list due to delays from the COVID year on 2016 and up trucks roof racks. Again I searched around after getting a parts list of everything I needed and bought new parts from ebay and other places that had some but not all I needed. The whole thing came together when I found 2 bars online and had them shipped in.

I sold my old hitch and tool box and roof racks on Fb marketplace and almost broke even on the new hitch and roof racks.
