Tow 40 ft 5th wheel from GA to IN?

TV is a 2001 F350 Crew Cab Dually 4x4 with the 7.3 turbodiesel. Automatic trans.
It's not the Rockies, but there are some decent inclines/descents going through TN and KY. Anyone done a similar trip with a similar TV/5th Wheel combo? I have driven the route a few times, but never towing. I have never towed anything this heavy (about 12,500). Previously had a 6500 lb. TT :-)

Advice appreciated.

Keep it in tow mode and you should be more than fine!

Tow mode? I've only had this truck a few months, but I have not seen that. Was it standard in 2001?

Maybe that is only on newer vehicles. Not sure when it came out. In any event, I don't believe you will have any problems.

I tried to do a little research. Looks like it is a button on the end of the shifter lever. I thought that was just the "O/D off" button but I haven't really paid attention.

Turn the overdrive off. You will be fine.

Always turn O/D off when towing. You should have no problems.

Had an 03 6.0 through the Blue ridge area 2x's with no issues. As already stated, OD off and don't push the climbs too much. Just keep it steady.
