Schooner hope the dealer give you good advice ? I found out on mine it was only the gelcoat and not thru the Fiberglass so it was more cosmetic for me . The body shop took me up on the scaffolding to show me .
I have a 2" crack in the gelcoat of the passenger side clearance light. Discovered while washing when it was 4 months out of warranty. Dealer said to drill a small hole at end of crack and take it to a fiberglass shop. I drilled and sealed the hole and crack with a marine sealant. Haven't touched it since and it is still in the same condition as when I discovered it. This was over two years ago. It is not noticeable unless you are looking for it.
Thanks for the info. I'm assuming he told you to drill the hole to stop the crack from spreading? Think I'll pass on the drilling but the marine sealant sounds like a good "fix".
